Salud!

Coquito is a traditional Puerto Rican traditional drink typically shared during the holiday season. During our Coquito- Sofrito parties we make it together and stock up for holiday sharing.

What is a Sofrito Coquito Event?

The Sofrito-Coquito event is a social gathering with close friends and familia to chop, blend, mix and taste two of Puerto Rico’s most staple food items: Sofrito (a special seasoning sauce made of select vegetables) and Coquito (a Rican version of egg nog; a creamy, cold drink made with rum.)

Why? The Christmas season calls for alot of eating and drinking. This is a fun way to “stock up” on enough sofrito to cook through the holiday season in the company of your friends and loved ones. And when visiting friends and family this year, Coquito is a great alternative for a bottle of wine. Coquito-tasting a bonus.
